Kawashima  Shrine
Ukishima  Hachimangu  had  to  relocate  due  to  river  improvement  work  of  Yoshinogawa,  so  this  Kawashima  Shrine  was  newly  built  with  a  spacious  ground  in  Shiroyama  in  October  1916  to  enshrine  together,along  with  many.  other  gods  from  the  shrines  in  old  Kawashima-cho,  such  as  Homutawake  Tennou  (Emperor  Ojin),  Ame  no  Hiwashi,  and  Sugawara  no  Michizane  Kou.  The  75  Offerings  Shinto  Ritual  (Nanajugo-zen  no  Shinji),  which  is  unique  as  a  special  religious  event  in  this  prefecture  since  ancient  times,  is  held  at  the  time  of  the  autumn  festival  on  the  4th  Sunday  in  October  every  year.  In  this  event,  people  offer  the  gods  foods  from  the  sea,  mountains,  fields  and  rivers  to  show  appreciation  for  agriculture  and  the  harvest.
