Amamurakumo Shrine
The "Amamurakumo Shrine" in Murakumo is the only shrine in Japan that bears the name "Amamurakumo" and is compared to the "Amamurakumo Ijibayahime Shrine" defined in the Enki Shiki of the Heian period. It is the only shrine in Japan that bears the name "Amamurakumo. The shrine is associated with the Imaibe clan, and one of the priest families of the Imaibe Shrine was also Murakumo. The name "Amamurakumo" is the original name of the Kusanagi Sword, one of the gods of the Emperor, suggesting that the Imaibe clan was deeply involved in the establishment of the Yamato Kingdom. In addition, the distant ancestor of the Tokai clan, who were the priests of the Ise Shrine, was also the god Amamurakumo, suggesting a deep relationship between Ise and Awa.
