Kmiyo otakaraodori
Kawata Hachiman Shrine has been worshipped as the guardian deity of Inbe in the Land of Awa, and the Jindai Oho Odori has been performed in front of the shrine as the Harvest Dance in good years and as the Rain Dance in bad weather.
There is no record of this dance as a good harvest year dance, but it is written in detail about the rain-making dance in the Tozai Ryokawata-mura Aichoshi Sashiagecho (1815). According to the book, "This dance was performed in Kyoto in ancient times, and was handed down to the Kawata people several hundred years ago, and was originally a dance to appease the gods.
To pray for rain, priests and priestesses first stayed in the hall of the Hachiman Shrine and continued praying. Then they climbed to the top of Mt. Kotsuzan and danced and danced at the Sutra Mound.
